Scot is a small-town boy from rural western Michigan. He spent six years in the U.S. Army flying helicopters and it opened his world. He returned to his home town to raise his five children and pursue his career in veterinary sales and real estate. A year after his youngest daughter graduated from high school, the rest of his life began. He has lived in Belize working in real estate followed by two years in Costa Rica rehab-ing and running a small hotel near the beach in the Southern Zone. He and his girlfriend are currently in Portland, Oregon, and planning their next adventure abroad.
